Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate

DEFINITION

Sodium Hyaluronate (HA) is a high-molecular-weight linear polysaccharide composed of repeating units of D-glucuronic acid (GlcUA) and N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) linked by β(1-3) and β(1-4) glycosidic bonds. The biopolymer is wide- spread in nature, having been identified in vertebrate soft tissues (e.g., skin, synovial fluid, and vitreous humor of the eye), cultured eukaryotic cell lines, and certain prokaryotes (21). In bacteria, particularly in Lancefield group A and C streptococci, HA is found in the form of a lavish extracellular capsule.

PRODUCTION

Sodium Hyaluronate is extracted from cocks’ combs or obtained by fermentation from Streptococci, Lancefield Groups A and C. It is produced by methods of manufacture designed to minimise or eliminate infectious agents. When produced by fermentation of gram-positive bacteria, the process must be shown to reduce or eliminate pyrogenic or inflammatory components of the cell wall. The desodium salt treatment is carried out after separation and dehydration.

INCI NAME: Sodium Hyaluronate

CAS NO.: 9067-32-7

Grade: Super Low Molecule Weight grade

CHARACTERISTICS:

1.     A white or almost white, very hygroscopic powder or a fibrous aggregate, sparingly soluble to soluble in water, practically insoluble in acetone, in ethanol and in ether.

2.     It is produced by Streptococcus zooepidemicus and low molecule weight from natural raw materials throuth fermentation.

3.     It has a stable molecular weight and has a good water retention property for stable skin. It has excellent performance in beauty and moisturizing.
